Magazine Publications
I have worked with a number of magazine publications, including both Baked Magazine and University Girl Magazine. For these publications, I was tasked to produce various spreads for each respective semi-annual publication. Each spread starts from a folder containing the illustrations and/or photos (if applicable) and the body copy. From there it is up to me to bring the spread to life.

University Girl Magazine
This spread was a feature article interviewing Carly Weinstein, a Tik Tok influencer, as she opened up about food guilt. I wanted the photography to blend into the spread seamlessly. Initially, I started drafting in black and white, and then eventually became drawn to the blues. However, through a few rounds of feedback, I felt the pink was more appropriate for the Magazine’s aesthetic and this specific publication.
Baked Magazine
For another publication, Baked Magazine, a fun-spirited food magazine, the objective is to create vibrant, fun spreads about different food related topics. Some articles are informational, some are feature pieces about local restaurants around Syracuse, NY, and some are recipe pages, also known as recipages. I worked on the design team from 2021-2023, and love the creativity that each publication showcases.
